Ingredients:
- 2 cups mixed berries (such as strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup almond meal
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (such as almonds, pecans, or walnuts)
- 2 tablespoons ghee, melted
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a baking dish with ghee or line it with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, toss the mixed berries with 1 tablespoon of maple syrup and lemon juice. Spread the berries evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine the rolled oats, almond meal, chopped nuts, melted ghee, honey or maple syrup, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Mix well until everything is evenly coated and forms a crumbly texture.
- Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the berries in the baking dish.
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the berries are bubbling.
- Once done, remove the crumble from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve the breakfast berry crumble warm, with a dollop of Greek yogurt for added protein.
